Our carbonized strand woven flooring is not stained. It's the same toasty color all the way through, thanks to a heating process that darkens the bamboo before it's woven and compressed. It's also available in 5" Wide Plank!

More than twice as hard as oak and extremely stable, our strand woven flooring is made by heating long strips of bamboo, which are pulled apart into strands, woven together, then compressed them under extreme pressure and heat. This process gives our strand woven flooring a handsome, hardwood look. As a tongue-and-groove flooring, it can be installed using either a nail-down or glue-down method.

Here are pics of our BEAUTIFUL new bamboo floor! We used 2/3 strand woven Tiger and 1/3 carbonized. We love, love, love it! It's our new favorite room. My husband, father-in-law, and I installed it ourselves and it was truly quite easy to do. We even used some extra pieces as the baseboards to give it a really finished look. Attached are pictures of the bamboo floor installed in our large dining room. The whole operation from purchase and delivery to installation went off without a hitch. Great job and the floor is beautiful. The colors match every type of wood in the room! I wish I had known about bamboo flooring sooner. Don't like the idea of denuding the forests in Brazil and Indonesia or anywhere else. We discovered bamboo flooring in a four star hotel in Saigon where it was the only type of flooring in the entire hotel. Here's to you selling more bamboo flooring and saving the forests.

Our Ambient Bamboo floors were installed about 4 weeks ago and we moved into the new house 2 weeks ago. We put bamboo throughout the house - even in the bathrooms and laundry/pantry room. We used the Strand Woven product - primarily carbonized - but we did a border with natural in our upstairs guest area. Pictures are attached (sorry - they are not specifically of the floor - but just general home photos).

We went with Strand Woven because we have 3 four legged children and live right on the Coast. The strength of the sample we received was more than impressive. I did a number of my own "janka" tests (LOL) - and also soaked the sample in water overnight. When compared to other bamboo products and other hard wood options - there was just no comparison. I had always assumed I would use tile when I built a new home on the Island - but once I saw your Strand Woven product - that all changed. The expertise of your staff and their quick response to all questions I had cinched the choice.

Everyone who walks into our home comments on how beautiful the floors are. I have a hard time convincing some people that they are bamboo and not hardwood!! The floors lend the house a warmth and look that you cannot get with anything other than hardwood - yet I have no guilt about killing beautiful, old trees so that I could have a hardwood floor. Bamboo is the best of all worlds. And if you really LIVE in your home like we do - especially in a coastal area - I believe Strand Woven is the best of the bamboo products. It was well worth the extra investment. If I had it to do over again - I would have considered using bamboo for my ceiling!

So far - so good. Even with some construction occuring after the floors were installed and all the movers in and out - the floor looks FANTASTIC - with minimal attention to upkeep.

I can't say enough about your company or your product. I would highly recommend both to anyone trying to decide on flooring.
